Perlini called up to Lake Erie

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced today that F Brett Perlini has been loaned to the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Monsters are the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche.

Perlini, 22, missed 34 games with injury this season, but the first-year pro still managed to score seven times and add 13 assists for 20 points in 39 games with the Condors in 2012-13. He began the season with five points (2g-3a) in his first six games, but an injury sustained on October 27th against Stockton knocked him out until January 18th. Upon return to the lineup, the 6’2″, 201 lbs. forward scored in back-to-back games. He was a 7th round selection (#192 overall) of the Anaheim Ducks in the 2010 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft.

The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native began the season in training camp with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL) before signing in Bakersfield on October 5, 2012. In four seasons with Michigan State, Perlini played 123 games with 36 goals, 40 assists, and 76 points. He led the Spartans with 18 goals and finished second in scoring with 30 points during his junior season in 2010-11.
