CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors (6-8-1-0) host the San Antonio Rampage (11-6-1-0) on Dignity Health Home Ice at Rabobank Arena at 7 p.m. for the team’s 19th Annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by Eyewitness News, KERN 1180 AM, and Three-Way Chevrolet.

PROMOTION: 

Teddy Bear Toss – bring two new stuffed animals to the game and throw them onto the ice when the Condors score their first goal of the game. The bears will be collected by Galbraith Van and Storage and donated to the United Way of Kern County who will distribute the bears to dozens of local non-profits. The Bakersfield Condors host the San Antonio Rampage for the second time this week and the final time this season. Bakersfield is 1-0-1 against San Antonio this season after going 3-1-0-0 against the Ramapage a year ago. At Rabobank Arena, the Condors are 3-0-1-0 in their last four games against San Antonio.IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield snapped a six-game winless skid and a four-game road losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the San Diego Gulls on Friday night. Four different Condors lit the lamp as LW Ryan Hamilton (1g-1a), C Brad Malone (2a), and C Kyle Platzer (1g-1a) each recorded multi-point nights. G Nick Ellis picked up the win in net, stopping 41 of 42 shots.

After an overtime victory in Bakersfield on Tuesday, the Rampage dropped a 5-3 decision on the road at San Jose Wednesday. LW Brendan Ranford had a goal and assist as G Sam Brittain made his first start of the season for San Antonio.

TEDDY BEAR TOSS
Tonight is the Condors 19th Annual Teddy Bear Toss. The team has collected over 111,000 teddy bears to date. The record for one throw is 8,075 set back in 2009 when Stephane Goulet let the fur fly.

CONDORS NOTES
C Josh Currie is on a season-high, three-game point streak (2g-1a)… The 41 saves from G Nick Ellis were a season high… C Kyle Platzer has four points (2g-2a) in six games since being recalled by the Condors from Wichita (ECHL)… C Brad Malone had two assists last night in his first game back from Edmonton (NHL)… The Condors scored at least two power play goals in a game for the fourth time this season. After starting the season 0-19, the team is now 15th in the AHL at 17.9%.

RAMPAGE NOTES
D Jordan Schmaltz is tied for 2nd in the AHL among d-men in scoring with 15 points (3g-12a). He opened the scoring on Tuesday against Bakersfield. Eight of his 12 assists have come on the power play… The Rampage are 7th in goals per game at 3.44… G Spencer Martin has won his last two starts… San Antonio wraps a four-game California road trip tomorrow in Ontario.
