Tordjman called up by Houston

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, announced today that G Josh Tordjman has been recalled by the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.

Tordjman, 26, heads back to the AHL for the second time this season. He currently ranks among the top five ECHL goaltenders in saves (4th; 1,018), and minutes (4th; 2,033) and is tied for the Josh Tordjmanleague lead with three shutouts. He has a record of 16-16-2-1, with a 2.86 goals against average and a .913 save percentage. Tordjman’s save percentage would rank 5th-best for a Condors netminder in club history.

The Montreal native has spent the majority of his four-year pro career in the AHL, predominantly with the San Antonio Rampage. He has a career AHL record of 84-76-10, which includes a 2-0-0 record this season with Houston, where he appeared in three games during a January recall, posting a 1.54 GAA and a .938 save pct. Tordjman boasts a career AHL GAA of 2.68 with a .910 save pct., and also played a pair of games in the National Hockey League with the Phoenix Coyotes in 2008-09.

Bakersfield will utilize an emergency back-up goaltender while in Victoria this week, with Brian Stewart serving as the only contracted goalie on the roster.
