Weekly Update: Pefect 4-0 week for the Condors

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors were perfect in four contests last week, beating three divisional opponents in the process.

Bakersfield is in 7th place in the Western Conference, at 21-20-1-3 with 46 points. They sit three points behind 6th place Stockton, six points behind 5th place Utah, and just seven points behind the 4th place Idaho Steelheads. The Condors travel to Boise for three games against Idaho this week.

  • F Chris Collins has a six-game point streak (3g-4a) after recording a pair of goals in Sunday’s win.
  • D Collin Bowman has a point in five straight games (1g-6a). He has 10 points in 12 games since being acquired from San Francisco.
  • RW Jordan Knackstedt is tied for the league lead with 5 game winning goals.
  • G Laurent Brossoit leads the league with a 1.66 GAA and is 2nd with a .936 save percentage. His 5 shutouts also leads the ECHL.
  • Brossoit won his 13th game of the season Saturday night. It is the highest win total for a Condors goaltender since the 2010-11 season.
  • C Matt Thurber is tied for 18th in ECHL rookie scoring with 23 points (7g-16a). Only one player among the Top 20 rookie scorers has played less games than his 29.
  • The Condors lead the ECHL in penalty killing at 89%. On the road, their penalty kill is 92.2% effective, surrendering just eight power play goals all season.
  • Bakersfield is 2nd in the league, holding their opponents to just 26.7 shots per game.
  • Leading scorer C Joel Broda has missed the last five games due to injury. He remains 5th in the ECHL with 19 goals.
