Condors in the Community: Condors players to volunteer at CALM’s Holiday Lights

Tuesday, Dec. 21

Baby Cal and Condors staff will be joining the American Red Cross Kern Chapter for an evening of sorting “Holiday Mail for Heroes,” located at 5035 Gilmore Ave. from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Holiday Mail for Heroes program provides Americans with the opportunity toBellRinging send holiday greetings and a note of thanks to our men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. To volunteer, please contact the Kern Chapter at 661-324-6427.

Thursday, Dec. 23

The Condors will be out at CALM (California Living Museum) located at 10500 Alfred Harrell Highway from 5:30 to 9 p.m. to volunteer at the eighth annual Holiday Lights at CALM. A handful of players will be placed at different sections of the park to help with the activities taking place, such as train rides, snowman building, and refreshments. Over 2 million lights are on display around the park, which is home to over 250 injured or abandoned animals native to California. Proceeds from Holiday Lights benefit the non-profit CALM Foundation, providing funding for developing new animal exhibits. For more information about Holiday Lights at CALM click here.

The Condors return from the Holiday break to meet Stockton at home for the Condors Lunch Box Tin Giveaway sponsored by ABC23, La Preciosa 105.3 & American Business Machines. The first 2,000 children, 12 & under, will receive a Condors Lunch Box Tin. Also help celebrate Canadian Boxing Day by boxing up your unwanted items and bring them to the game to donate to Goodwill Industries. Immediately following the game you can Skate with the Condors. Bring your skates and take the ice with the team. (Limited skate rental available for $5 per pair.) Doors open at 5 p.m., puck drops at 6 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 27

The Condors take on Stockton for High School/ College ID Night sponsored by My 45 & 92.5 La Campesina. All college and high school students receive admission for $1.00 by presenting their student ID. Doors open at 6 p.m., and puck drops at 7 p.m. For more information regarding tickets call the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825).

Holiday Team Store and Office Hours:

The Condors office will be open under normal hours through ShelterThursday, Dec. 23. The office will be closed on the 24th and 25th, and will re-open at noon on Sunday, Dec. 26. It will be open under normal hours on Monday, Dec. 27.

It’s your last chance to purchase Condors Merchandise for that special Christmas present! The Condors Team Store will be open during normal hours 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. through Thursday, Dec. 23. It will be closed on the 24th and 25th, and will re-open on Monday, Dec. 27th.

Individual tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster and the Rabobank Arena Box Office. The Box Office will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24 and Saturday, Dec. 25, and will re-open on Sunday at noon.
