Have to be honest with you #Condorstown, the season crept up on me pretty quick. Good friend of the blog @GrizzliesVoice declared that the offseason was over on Tuesday and I realized that in exactly one month, players will be here. Using my deductive reasoning skills, which I spent $200K+ for an education to learn, (OK, not just me, the government too), that means today is inseason (not a word kids). If you’re not in the offseason, you’re inseason.

And that’s fine, because when you’re inseason, there is hockey being played. OK, not Condors hockey just yet, but some of the best Edmonton Oilers prospects are playing in the Young Stars Tournament this weekend held in Penticton, British Columbia. (That’s in Canada) They will face off with some of the best prospects the Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets, and Vancouver Canucks have to offer.

You may be thinking to yourself, that’s great Holty, why should I care? Well, I’ll tell you why. I will guarantee you that some players suiting up for the Oilers this week WILL play in Bakersfield (for the Condors), this season.

I’m not going to project who plays in Condorstown this season, although some are more likely than others. Take for instance today’s starting netminder Tyler Bunz. You may remember him from his Stockton days last year. (I just threw up a little typing the word Stockton). He tweeted out the beginnings of his new mask this season. Look.

There is no list today. No fancy ranking system. Today is a fact day. Nothing in the rules says I have to do a list, because as I’ll remind you, there are no rules, and it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want…
