CONDORS IN THE COMMUNITY: Condors Commemorative Brick Unveiled at Friendship House

Last week, the students at Liberty HigColonel at LHS TBTh School arranged a Condors inspired Teddy Bear Toss as part of their pep rally. Colonel Claw’d was on hand as a total 78 bears were collected and given to the United Way who were able to distribute them to Teen Challenge.

 

 

TUESDAY, JANUARY 22:

Director of Community Relations, Mikie Barrett, and mascot Baby Cal will take part in the Friendship House ‘Stone Soup’ Commemorative Brick Unveiling at 3:30 p.m. The garden pathway at the CAPK community center, 2424 Cottonwood Road, will feature a special Condors brick. For over fifty years, the Friendship House has provided thousands of community adults and youth in southeast Bakersfield access to tutoring, mentoring, recreation, food, counseling, and referral services.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 24:


Condors staff members Todd Blacklock and Mikie Barrett will be guest judges at the Highland Elementary School Science Fair starting at 8:30 a.m., 2900 Barnett Street.
Tune in to Condors Insider for interviews with the players and coaches from 6-7 p.m. Hosted by Condors Vice President of Communication, Kevin Bartl, Condors Insider can be heard on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM and the iheartradio app.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 25:
Baby Cal and a Condors player will visit a second grade classroom at El Camino Real Elementary in Arvin as part of the La Campesina, Condors and Brighthouse NetworksClassroom of the Month program. The winning class receives pizza, a lunchtime visit from the Condors as well as tickets to an upcoming Condors game.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 26:
Baby Cal will attend the Crescent Classic Chili Cook Offtaking place at Curran Middle School, 1116 Lymric Way, starting at 11 a.m. The cook-off is a fundraiser hosted by Gamma Phi Beta to raise funds for non-profits dedicated to building strong girls.
Colonel Claw’d and Condors Account Manager Matthew Friedman will participate in the Owens Valley Career Development Center Family Day at 1001 Tower Way in Bakersfield.
MONDAY, JANUARY 28:
Condors Staff Mikie Barrett and DJ French, along with Colonel Claw’d, will be at Endeavour Elementary, 9300 Meacham Road, to help kick-off their Condors ticket fundraiser at 8:15 a.m.
The kick-offs continue with Baby Cal at Valley Elementary School at 12 p.m. as they embark on a fundraiser for new rubber playground matting. Valley Elementary is located at 2300 E. Brundage.

The 9th Annual Bakersfield Hockey-Thon will take place
