CONDORS IN THE COMMUNITY: Condors Player Speaks To Youth About What It Takes To Be A Pro Athlete

Players and mascots can be seen all over town this week with appearances on radio, tv, at church youth groups, school activities and a city festival!  But the best part is you can see them all on Sunday the 14th at the 2012-13 Season Home Opener at Rabobank Arena.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9:

Condors broadcaster Kevin Bartl hits the airwaves for his weekly appearance on the Scott Cox Show at 5 p.m. on KERN News Talk 1180.  With the home opener just a few days away, you won’t want to miss out on behind the scenes news and insights about the team and front office.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10:
A Condors player and Colonel Claw’d will speak to the youth atCornerstone Church Children’s Education, 3331 Calloway Dr., about discipline, motivation and what it takes to be a professional athlete. Kids ranging from age 3 to Junior High will get to see authentic hockey equipment and get their questions answered at 7 p.m.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11:

Tune in to KBAK Channel 29 Eyewitness News at 7:20 a.m. to see a Bakersfield Condors player talk about what you can expect to see this season.Colonel Fall Carnival
Colonel Claw’d will welcome back students at theCommunity Learning Center Back to School Night from 3:30-5 p.m. Community Learning Center is located at 222 34th Street.

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12:

Director of Community Relations, Mikie Barrett, and Colonel Claw’d will be a part of the festivities at Downtown Elementary’s Fall Carnivalat 5:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13:

Baby Cal will celebrate the City of Bakersfield’s Good Neighbor Festival at Martin Luther King Park, 1000 South Owens Street, at 11:30 a.m.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14:

Welcome back Condors Hockey at the 2012-13 Season Home Opener! Watch the Bakersfield Condors take on rivals Las Vegas Wranglers at Rabobank Arena at 5 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. Come early to be part of the L.A. Kings Stanley Cup Celebration with the LA Kings Ice Crew, world famous mascot Bailey, and the Kings Street Team starting at2 p.m. on the Rabobank Arena Plaza!
