CONDORS IN THE COMMUNITY: Condors to eclipse 70,000 Teddy Bears collected in history this weekend

The Condors teamed up with La Campesina Radio and Bright House Networks for the Classroom of the Month from 11:30-12:30 p.m.  Today, Defenseman Alain Goulet, Baby Cal and Condors staff headed to Granite Point Elementary, located at 2900 Berkshire Road in Bakersfield.  Goulet spoke to Mrs. Morgan’s 4th grade classroom and they received tickets to an upcoming Condors game.

Tuesday Nov. 22:
Bakersfield hits the ice for a 7 p.m. game against the Alaska Aces at Rabobank Arena.  Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the game for donation to the CHiPs for Kids programpresented R&D Leather Furniture. Fans who bring a toy to the game for donation will receive a $1 terrace level ticket to the game.
Wednesday Nov. 23:
The Condors front office and team store will close at 3 p.m.

Kevin Bartl will make his weekly appearance on the Scott Cox Show on KERN Radio 1180 AM at 4:30 p.m. The show has moved from the morning to 3-6 p.m. in the afternoon.

Thursday Nov. 24:
The Condors front office and team store will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The entire organization would like to wish a safe and healthy holiday to all of Condorstown!

Friday Nov. 25:
The Condors front office will have abbreviated hours. The front office will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The team store will be open at its usual hours from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Saturday Nov. 26:
COlTEdIt’s the biggest night of the year in Condorstown as the Condors host the Ontario Reign at 7 p.m. for the 13th annual Teddy Bear Toss night presented by 29 Eyewitness News, KERN Radio News Talk 1180 AM , and Wells Fargo. Fans are asked to bring a new teddy bear or stuffed animal to the game and when the Condors score their first goal of the night, throw the teddy bears out onto the ice.  The stuffed animals will then be collected and donated to the United Way of Kern County for distribution to underprivileged children.  Nearly 70,000 bears have been collected in the event’s history with over 6,200 bears collected last year.  Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are going fast for this highly anticipated event so don’t be left out! Members of the team including the coaches will be participating in a charity poker tournament to be held at the Aviator Casino in Delano on Wed. November 30th at 7 p.m. The Aviator Casino is located at 1225 Airport Drive in Delano.
