Condors in the Community: Condors to join Pine Mountain Club’s Fall Festival Saturday

Friday, Sept. 2

Colonel Claw’d will be waking up early to appear at Standard Middle School, located at 1222 North Chester Ave., for their Walk and Bike to School Day, hosted by Bike Bakersfield, from 7 to 8 a.m. Bike Bakersfield is a local non profit that encourages bicycling as a safe,Colbike fun and environmentally friendly alternative for transportation. Saturday, Sept. 3

The Condors will be joining Kiwanis of Oildale this Saturday morning at Target, located at 91000 Stockdale Hwy., from 7 to 8 a.m., for the Back to School Event. Local children were selected to be paired up with volunteers to shop for $200 worth of school supplies and clothes. Colonel Claw’d and baby Cal will be entertaining the kids as they enjoy their shopping experience.

The Condors will then make their way to Frazier Park for the Pine Mountain Club’s Annual Fall Festival taking place on the Pine Mountain Club Golf Course, from 12 to 3 p.m. The Condors will have a booth set up with the inflatable slapshot for the kids! Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will make an appearance as well.

Village Fest:

The Condors front office staff will appear at this years Village Fest (formerly Brews in the Village) on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 10 p.m at the Kern County Museum.  Fans can stop by the Condors table for their chance to win Condors tickets and get information about the upcoming season. Village Fest is an annual fundraiser for Children’s Advocates Resource Endowment (CARE), a local non-profit organization that supports an Endowment Fund for the future of Kern County children and local children’s charities. Village Fest will be held at the Kern County Museum, located at 3801 Chester Ave. Note: you must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event. Condors Kids Club!

Sign-ups are officially underway for the 2011-12 Condors Kids Club. The Condors home opener is just 47 days away, when the ECHL’s newest team, the Colorado Eagles, come to town Saturday, Oct. 15.
