Condors in the Community: Join Colonel Claw’d at the BISC Winter Playground on Saturday

Wednesday Dec. 13:

Baby Cal and members of the Condors staff will be answering thephones at the annualKGET Channel 17 Children’s Miracle Network mediathonevent from 12-1 p.m. The event will be held at 2120 L St. in downtown Condorstown. Last year’s event raised over $40,000 for Bakersfield’s Memorial Hospital. As in years past, the money raised through donations will stay right in Kern County and will help children in need. Be sure to call in and help out a great cause!

Thursday Dec. 15:
Condors Insider returns to the airwaves from 6-7 p.m. on Fox Sports Radio 970. Kevin Bartl will host the show from Bakersfield, but will be joined with guests from team, including Head Coach Matt O’Dette, from the road as the Condors will be in Las Vegas preparing for two games this weekend. You’ll get all the inside information during the show and will hear the latest news from around the ECHL.

Friday Dec. 16:
Condors broadcaster Kevin Bartl makes his weekly appearance on theScott Cox Show on KERN Radio 1180 AM at 4:30 p.m. He’ll discuss Condors hockey and all of the exciting things happening around Condorstown.
Saturday Dec. 17:
Condors staff will head to Ming Ave. between Old River Rd. and Gosford from 9-10 a.m. as part of the Adopt-A-Highway program. The Condors will help make that stretch of road look the best in Condorstown!
The busy Saturday continues for the Condors at the Jesus Shack and Barber Honda Kids Christmas event from 12-1 p.m., located at 4500 Wible Road. Colonel Claw’d will help hand out toys during the giveaway for local needy families. The Colonel loves to help out those in need around the holidays and hopes that Condos fans will do the same this season!
After the Kids Christmas event, Colonel will head to the rink at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center for the annual“Winter Playground,”from 8-9 p.m. The B.I.S.C is located on Q St., just south of Rabobank Arena. Bring your skates and hit the ice with Colonel Claw’d!
On the road for three more:
The Condors play three games this week in two different cities. On Wednesday night, the team travels to Ontario to take on the Reign at 7 p.m. Then, the team heads to Las Vegas for games on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:05 p.m. All three games will be aired live on Fox Sports 970 AM,www.foxsports970am.com and on the iheartradio app. Follow the Condors on Twitter @Condors to get scoring updates as they happen.

The Condors return home on Wednesday, Dec. 21 to host the Colorado Eagles at 7 p.m. That night is High School/College ID Night, sponsored by My 45 and La Campesina 92.5.
