Nominations Open for ‘Spirit of Condorstown’ Awards
For 15 years, the Bakersfield Condors have made a conscious effort to contribute to the community and support a wealth of meaningful causes. In total, the Condors have contributed more than $4 million to local non-profits and given many more the opportunity to raise funds. Now the team is looking to recognize others who share the same commitment to making Bakersfield better.
This season, the “Spirit of Condorstown” will recognize community members who have provided a significant contribution to others, overcome an immense obstacle, turned a negative situation into a positive, or otherwise inspired others with their stories.
“We have a long history of giving back,” said Team Owner Jonathan Fleisig, “and we are excited to honor people who make our city better. Be it a lifetime commitment or a decision made in the moment, these are individuals who truly inspire others with their story.”
Fans are encouraged to nominate people by completing the online nomination form.
If selected, honorees will be recognized at a 2012-2013 home game, receive game tickets and some cool gifts. Potential recipients should reside in the Bakersfield area and be able to attend a Bakersfield Condors home game.
