TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors start the second week of their season-high six game homestand with a midweek contest against theVsSTK - red Stockton Thunder tonight. The teams last met on January 7th in Bakersfield with the Thunder sneaking out of town with a 3-2 shootout victory. It was the only shootout game of the season for the Condors. After tonight, the teams will meet five more times, with the next two meetings happening in Bakersfield. It is the only game on the docket for the Western Conference tonight.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
A wild hockey game on Saturday night, featuring 278 combined penalty minutes (see below), ended with a 5-1 Condors loss to the Ontario Reign. F Parker Stanfield scored his third goal of the season in the loss. Bakersfield got one point with an overtime loss the night before in the two game set between the two sides.

Stockton was impressive, sweeping the defending Kelly Cup Champion Alaska Aces, in a 3-in-3 weekend series. G Alex Stalock, in Stockton on a conditioning assignment from San Jose, made 28 saves on Sunday and F Jordan Fulton scored the game-winner in the third period as the Thunder completed the sweep with a 2-1 victory.

CONDORS NOTES
F Parker Stanfield has scored twice in his last three games. He scored once in his first 16 games as a pro before last week…G Bryan Pitton and F Tyler Helfrich each picked up their first professional fighting majors on Saturday…F Ian McKenzie’s 21 penalty minutes was a Condors sigle-game high this season…F Peter Boyd and F Chris Kushneriuk both return to the lineup tonight after missing eight and six games respectively…The Condors jumped from 4th to 1st in PIMS after Saturday’s game. They became the first team to record 1,000 on the season and average 23.77 per game…D Tyson Gimblett is suspended for tonight’s game as a resulted of his aggressor penalty on Saturday.

THUNDER NOTES
G Alex Stalock is 4-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA and a .920 save percentage since being assigned to Stockton from San Jose for conditioning…F Chris Doyle has five goals and one assist in eight games played since being acquired off of waivers from South Carolina…The Thunder lead the league with 62 major penalties, Bakersfield is 2nd (56).
