Condors and Bank of America team up to support Flood Ministries

For every Condors goal, $20 will be donated to Flood Ministries thanks to Bank of America

The Bakersfield Condors and Bank of America have partnered for multiple programs to support high impact local nonprofit Flood Ministries for its work providing supportive housing, resources and services to those experiencing homelessness across Kern County. Throughout the 2023-24 Condors season, Flood Ministries will be the recipient of Goals for Charity and Non-Profit of the Night charitable donations.

Bank of America also announced Flood Ministries as the 2023 Neighborhood Champion® awardee, which includes a $50,000 multi-year grant and leadership training to help the organization launch its new Flood Fresh Shower project, expanding their mobile hygiene services to more people experiencing homelessness in the underserved, rural areas of Kern Valley.

“We are thrilled to partner with Bank of America to help support Flood Ministries and their mission,” said Condors Senior Vice President, Business Operations Justin Fahsbender. “The Goals for Charity Program will be something fun and interactive for our fans to follow along with all season long and we know the team on the ice will deliver for Flood Ministries!”

The Flood Fresh Shower program will be instrumental in improving the overall health and well-being for the underserved homeless population in Kern Valley, and we are thankful to the Condors for their partnership to support these initiatives.”

ABOUT FLOOD MINISTRIES

Flood Ministries exists to reach out and engage those in our community struggling in homelessness, linking them to resources and services through the supportive housing process. Flood was first established as a volunteer group from the Bridge Bible Church, and has since grown into a nonprofit organization that serves Kern County through street outreach teams, supportive care for individuals that are newly housed, and navigation centers in rural cities such as Arvin, Lamont, and Delano. Flood seeks to heal and humanize homelessness, believing that every human is of equal value and deserves our respect and a right to life free from affliction. Flood creates a culture that minimizes homelessness and maximizes humanity by humanizing adversity and empowering resilience. Flood’s goal is to see homelessness resolved in Kern County, with access to safe and stable housing for all.
