Condors Sign F Nicolas Tremblay

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Matt O’Dette announced today that the team has signed C Nicolas Tremblay. He is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Condors take on the Idaho Steelheads at Rabobank Arena.

“I heard great things about the team, the way they treat their players and the strength of the organization,” said Tremblay. “I got a call from Scotty (Freeman, 2011-12 Condors) and he thought it’d be a great fit for me and I heard great things about the coaching staff. I’m excited to be a part of bringing this team back up where they should be by the end of the season.”

Tremblay, 24, was a sixth round selection (#173) of the BostonBruins in the 2008 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft. After completing a four-year career at Clarkson University in 2012, the Candiac, Quebec native appeared in four games with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL) registering a goal and an assist for two points.

The 6’0″, 190 lbs. forward was an alternate captain his senior year with the Golden Knights and turned in his best season in 2011-12 with 17 goals and 19 assists for 36 points in 37 games. With his scoring output increasing each season, Tremblay finished his collegiate career with 33 goals and 55 assists for 88 points in 143 games.

In other transaction news, the Condors announced today that C Max Campbell has been suspended by the team. Campbell left the team to accept an offer overseas.
