Condors Sign Goaltender Scott Greenham; Alex Hudson Returns from AHL

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors announced today that they have signed goaltender Scott Greenham (GREN-um) to a standard player contract (SPC). He is expected in uniform tonight when the Condors host the Utah Grizzlies at 7 p.m.

The 24-year old netminder recently completed his collegiate career at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He finished as the Nanooks career leader in wins (48), goals-against average (2.24), save percentage (.916), and shutouts (11).

“He is a very good, technical goalie who had some great individual numbers in college,” said Condors Head Coach Matt O’Dette.  “We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do over these next couple of weeks.”

The Addison, Ontario native garnered multiple honors during hiscareer at Alaska. He was named to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) all-tournament team twice, was a CCHA all-conference 2nd team selection his junior season, and was named the Nanooks’ team MVP that same year.

The 6’2″, 190 lbs. rookie was a teammate of current Condors D Scott Enders at Alaska.

In other team news, F Alex Hudson has returned to the team from the American Hockey League (AHL). In 15 games with the Manchester Monarchs he registered no points, but did pick up his first career professional fighting major. LW Evan Trupp has been activated off the three-day injured reserve as well. Both are expected to play tonight for Bakersfield.

The Condors host the Grizzlies tonight, and the first 2,000 fans 17 and under will get a Condors Skateboard Deck, sponsored by ABC23 and 106.1 KRAB Radio.

Saturday night against Las Vegas is the annual Condors Fighting Cancer Hockey-Thon, sponsored by KBAK Eyewitness News and KUZZ 107.9. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. for the Condors Alumni Game, while the Condors and Wranglers face off at 7 p.m.
