Bakersfield dropped a 4-2 decision on Saturday at home to Stockton. Tim Schaller scored his first goal for the Condors in the loss.
Colorado was swept on home ice by San Jose last weekend. They fell 3-2 on Saturday despite a 47-28 shot edge. Kiefer Sherwood and Callahan Burke both scored their third goals of the season for the Eagles.
Bakersfield gets its first three games-in-four nights stretch of the season this week. After tonight, the team heads to Las Vegas on Friday morning and Saturday afternoon for their first games against Henderson since defeating them in the 2021 Pacific Division Finals.
McLEOD PICKS UP WHERE HE LEFT OFF
Ryan McLeod had 28 points (14g-14a) in 28 games with the Condors a year ago before being recalled by the Edmonton Oilers. He returned to Bakersfield this past weekend notching a goal in his debut and an assist on Saturday.
Bakersfield’s power play has connected in each of the four games so far this season. Overall, the team is 4/20 (20%) and t-11th in the AHL. On the flip side, the team’s penalty kill, which led the AHL last season, is off to another good start, killing off 17/19 (89.5%) chances and ranked 7th in the AHL.
