GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates
The Condors begin a four-game road trip over six days, in Loveland, Colo.
LAST TIME OUT
Bakersfield scored six unanswered goals in a 6-1 win over San Diego on Saturday. The win extended the Condors home unbeaten streak to seven games (5-0-2).
STRONG FIVE ON FIVE
Since January 1, the Condors have outscored the opposition, 50-38 at even strength. The positive goal differential has led to increased success as well as the team is 8-4-1-2 with points in 11 of 15 games in 2023.
‘PICK’ING IT UP
Calvin Pickard is 9-4-1 in his last 14 decisions and has made at least 30 saves in five straight games.
PETEY PETEY PETEY CAN’T YOU SEE…
In his last five games, Alex Peters has seven points (2g-5a), including goals in back-to-back games. He is +10 in that stretch and leads the Condors at +18 overall.
Noah Philp followed up his first multi-point effort with another multi-point effort on Saturday. He has two goals and two assists in his last two games and six points (3g-3a) over his last six.
Bakersfield’s grind of 15 road games in 22 overall continues this week with a three-city, four games-in-six days trip. After February, the Condors have a seven-game homestand awaiting them.
The Condors have killed off 25 of their last 27 power plays over their last seven games. The team is up to 18th in the AHL at 80.6%.
BIG MIKE TIES AT THE TOP
Michael Kesselring’s 13th goal matched the Condors record for goals by a d-man. He leads all AHL d-men with 13 goals and is fourth in even strength points.
ON THE OTHER SIDE
The Eagles are a remarkable 16-4-3-1 in one-goal games. Despite getting just a point on the weekend at home against Texas, Colorado is 6-3-1 in 10. Former Condors d-man Brad Hunt was assigned to the team earlier in the week.
The Condors wrap up the Colorado portion of the road trip tomorrow at 6 p.m. against the Eagles.
