GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates
The Condors play game three of a four-game road trip in San Diego. Bakersfield has points in four of five games.
LAST TIME OUT
Bakersfield rallied for its third win of the season when trailing after two periods in a 3-2 victory over Tucson. Ty Tullio netted the game winner in front of a 35-save performance from Calvin Pickard.
Tullio’s goal extended a solid run for the 20-year old. In five games, Tullio has six points (3g-3a) and is now tied for fifth on the team in scoring.
LAVOIE ON A TEAR
Raphael Lavoie has 12 points (6g-6a) in his last 13 games, including the opening goal on Saturday.
Calvin Pickard suffered just his second loss in eight appearances on Friday, but responded with a 35/37 performance on Saturday. He is 6-2-0 in his last eight decisions with a 2.50 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.
The Condors will play 10 of their next 15 games on the road, including four separate flight trips over the next five weeks.
The Condors have killed off 26 of 28 power plays since Dec. 30 (92.9%).
Darien Kielb and Graham McPhee were both loaned to the Fort Wayne Komets.
ON THE OTHER SIDE
San Diego has dropped five straight, but they feature an AHL All-Star netminder in Lukas Dostal who has made the second most saves in the AHL.
