It is the first of eight meetings on the season between the Condors and Reign and the 26th home opener in Condors franchise history.

LOOKING BACK

Noel Hoefenmeyer had the game-winning goal to go along with a fight and 17 minutes worth of penalty time in a season-opening 3-2 victory over Coachella Valley eight days ago. Calvin Pickard stopped 36 shots for the Condors.

HOME IS WHERE THE WINS ARE

Bakersfield has impressed at home, carrying a 10-game winning streak from the end of last season into action tonight. The Condors went 23-10-3 (.681) a year ago on home ice.

PEDEY POPS THE LID OFF

Newcomer Lane Pederson scored the team’s season opening marker in the desert last Friday. The Saskatchewan native had 17 goals in 18 games with Abbotsford last season.

HOME OPENER SUCCESS

The Condors have won five of their eight AHL home openers, but tonight marks the first AHL home opener against Ontario.

FOUND NEEMO

Markus Niemelainen is expected to make his season debut tonight. The Tampere, Finland native has played 85 games with the Condors and 43 with the Oilers over the past four seasons.

HAMMER TIME

James Hamblin scored his first of the year last Friday after a season which saw him play 10 games with the Oilers and score 10 goals for the Condors.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Ontario will face someone other than San Diego for the first time in four games this season following a 3-2 win in San Diego last night. The Reign have started the season 1-2-0.
