GAME PREVIEW presented by Rodriguez & Associates

The Condors make a quick stop home following a 3-1-0 road trip with their eighth and final game against San Diego this season.

LAST TIME OUT

Bakersfield scored a season-high for goals in an 8-4 win over San Diego to cap off a 3-1 road trip on Sunday. Raphael Lavoie scored four times and Ty Tullio had a hat trick as they became the first Condors to record hat tricks in the same game.

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING

Raphael Lavoie’s four-goal game on Sunday was the first by an AHL Condor. The last time a Bakersfield player recorded four in one night was Chase Schaber on April 1, 2014 in Las Vegas against the Wranglers. Lavoie surpassed his goal total of 13 from last year and is eighth in the AHL in scoring since Jan. 1 with 21 points in 20 games.

MORE LIKE THREE-LEE-OH

Ty Tullio notched his first professional hat trick on Sunday as part of a four-point night. He is t-5th in AHL rookie scoring since Jan. 1 with 16 points (8g-8a) in 20 games.

FEBRUARY IS FOR PHLIP

Noah Philp had three assists on Sunday and paces the Condors in scoring in the month of February. Through eight games, the rookie has 10 points (4g-6a) and is +5.

PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS?!

With 23 games left in the regular season, the hunt for playoff positioning is in full swing. Since Jan. 1, the Condors have just five regulation losses in 19 games with a record of 11-5-1-2 (.658%). The team sits in the final playoff spot, two points back of Tucson, but with three games in hand on the Roadrunners. Tonight, the team looks to get back to .500 for the first time since the end of November.

FIVE FOR BENNY

Tyler Benson has points in five straight games (1g-5a) after his two assists on Sunday.

ROAD WARRIORS

Bakersfield’s grind of 15 road games in 22 overall ends this weekend with two games in Texas.

KILLING IT

The Condors have killed off 43 of their last 46 power plays (93.5%) over their last 11 games. The team is up to 10th in the AHL at 82.0%.

FINISH IT OFF STRONG

Bakersfield is 6-1-0 against San Diego this season. Ollie Rodrigue has three wins in the season series. Bakersfield has outscored San Diego 31-16 on the year.

ON THE OTHER SIDE

Michael Del Zotto and Pavol Regenda each had two assists on Sunday. Gage Alexander took Ontario to overtime on Saturday between the pipes, stopping 16 of 20.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Bakersfield heads to Texas for two with the Stars on Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m. PT.
