CONDORS HOME UNBEATEN RUN ENDS IN LOSS TO COLORADO
The Bakersfield Condors (34-20-10, 78pts) eight-game home unbeaten run ended at the hands of the Colorado Eagles (39-16-10, 88pts) in front of 5,005 at Dignity Health Arena. Bakersfield remained in fifth in the Pacific Division and lost no ground in the playoff race.
Colorado scored twice in the first period to take a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. Shots were 14-7.
James Hamblin (26th) scored his sixth goal in eight games to bring the deficit to one at 2-1, just over a minute into the second period. The Condors could not tie the game on two power play chance and Colorado would score twice in just over a minute to lead 4-1 after two frames.
After Colorado made it 5-1, Isaac Howard (21st) struck on the power play to make it 5-2 at 7:25 of the third period. Viljami Marjala had an assist to extend his point streak to five games (1g-4a). Seth Griffith had two assists for points 702 and 703 in his AHL career.
