Condors in the Community: Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal join the Ride for Autism at Yokuts Park Saturday

Tuesday, Jul. 19
The Condors will officially introduce Head Coach Matt O’Dette to Condorstown this Tuesday at a lunch Meet and Greet at Rabobank Arena, located at 1001 Truxtun Ave., from Noon to 1 p.m. All current O'Dette 2011-12 Condors Season Ticket Holders and Corporate Sponsors are invited to this exclusive event. A light lunch consisting of your choice of a hot dog, chips, and drink, or a nice salad will be available to you. No RSVP needed, just make your way to Rabobank Arena to welcome Mr. O’Dette!

Thursday, Jul. 21
The Condors will be out at Mill Creek Park from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for Third Thursday held by the Downtown Business Association. The Condors will have the inflatable slapshot booth and prize wheel set up to give everyone a chance to win cool Condors prizes! Colonel Claw’d will also be joining the festivities! The former Downtown Street Faires have moved to the park and will be held the third Thursday of the month through September. Saturday, Jul. 23
Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will be joining the Valley Achievement Center’s Ride for Autism this Saturday at Yokuts Park located at 4198 Empire Dr., from 11 to 1 p.m. Colonel and Baby will be joining the games and festivities such as the dunk tank, inflatable bounce houses, and various food vendors. Summer Parks and Recreation Care-A-Van:
The Condors will be at various Bakersfield City Parks every week during the month of July and August. Come out and enjoy the summer sun and stop by the Condors booth to spin the Prize Wheel for a chance to win cool Condors prizes. Also the Inflatable Slapshot will be on hand for everyone to experience the game of hockey.

On July 27, the Condors will be at the grand opening of Sports Village Park located off of Taft Hwy. just west of Ash Rd., from 12 to 3 p.m. Also on July 29, we will be out at Jastro Park located off of Truxtun Ave. just east of Oak St., from 9 to 12 p.m. to help celebrate YMCA its 75th Anniversary. Check the Condors Community release each Monday to find out when the Condors are coming to your neighborhood!

Condors Booster Club:
The Condors Booster Club is sponsoring a fundraiser through the Gaslight Melodrama Theater. Tickets are on sale for the comedy show, “The Show Must Go On,” on July 21, at 7 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Condors Booster Club. Summer Reading Program:
Don’t forget that the Condors Summer Reading Program is on and running through July 30! Kids who read 10 or more books will be awarded a ticket to a Condors game next season. Stop by your local Kern County Library for more information or call the Condors office at 324-PUCK(7825).

The Condors home opener is just 89 days away, when the ECHL’s newest team, the Colorado Eagles, come’s to town. Game time is 7 p.m. Ticket packages for the 2011-12 season are now on sale, starting at just $48.
