Week in Review:

The Condors were in full force last week as they volunteered at local MailCardsorganizations for the Holiday season. Baby Cal and Condors staff were at the American Red Cross Kern Chapter last Tuesday volunteering for an evening of sorting “Holiday Mail for Heroes,” which is a program that provides Americans with the opportunity to send holiday greetings and a note of thanks to our men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. If you would like to volunteer your time in any way at the American Red Cross, please contact the Kern Chapter at 661-324-6427.

The Condors were also out at CALM (California Living Museum) last Thursday night for the annual Holiday Lights at CALM. Condors D Erik Burgdoerfer and D Brendan Milnamow volunteered their time as they were stationed at different locations of the park. Burgdoerfer was placed next to Santa Claus’s tent and Milnamow was placed by the Family Event Area to greet guests. It wasn’t all work at CALM, the players took pictures with fans, and even took a train ride which takes you on a journey of different displays of lights. Proceeds from TrainrideHoliday Lights benefit the non-profit CALM Foundation, providing funding for developing new animal exhibits. Due to rain cancellations, CALM Holiday Lights will continue through Saturday, Jan. 2. Visit calmzoo.org for more information.
