CONDORS IN THE COMMUNITY: Condors to take part in 92nd annual Veterans Day Parade festivities on Friday

Tuesday Nov. 8:

Colonel Claw’d heads to Actis Jr. High School, located at 2400 Westholme Blvd., from 10-11 a.m. where he will get the students excited for the upcoming Condors games. The school has a group coming to the field trip day game on Tuesday, November 15th. To find out more information on how you can organize your group outing with the Condors, click here.

Cal with kidThe fun doesn’t end there as Colonel will venture over to Lil’ Explorers Pre-School Academy, located at 8800 Harris Road, from 3-4 p.m. with a Condors player. The students will be entertained by Colonel while hearing from a Condors player on what it takes to achieve your goals and realize your dreams.

Wednesday Nov. 9:
Tune into the morning show on KUZZ 107.9 FM at 8:30 a.m. as Condors radio broadcaster Kevin Bartl highlights all the exciting events happening in Condorstown this week.

Colonel Claw’d will appear at the Bakersfield Adult School Children’s Center Harvest Festival, located at 501 South Mt. Vernon Ave. from 10-11 a.m. Colonel will entertain the children as they enjoy the festivities.

Thursday Nov. 10:
Lamont Elementary Schoo
l, located at 1030 4th St., will have a school-wide assembly from 8-9 a.m. to recognize the students who achieved perfect attendance. Those students with perfect attendance will receive tickets to the Condors Field Trip Day game on Tuesday, November 15th presented by Baby Cal! The school is holding their T.H.I.N.K. Night on March 17th.  To get your school out for the Field Trip Day game or to schedule a T.H.I.N.K night with the Condors, please call 324-PUCK (7825).

Thursday night is the annual Project Warm Families Coat Collection Night, sponsored by 98.5 The Fox and Goodwill Industries. Anyone who brings a new or gently used coat to the game will receive a terrace level ticket for just $1. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the game starting at 7 p.m.

Friday Nov. 11:
Kevin Bartl makes his weekly appearance on the Scott Cox Show on KERN Radio News Talk 1180 AM at 8:30 a.m. He’ll discuss Condors hockey and the promotional events this weekend.

The Condors will take part in Bakersfield’s 92nd Veterans Day Parade from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. throughout the streets of downtown Bakersfield. It’s a perfect opportunity to salute our veterans for their service to our country.

Friday night, celebrate 11/11/11 – if the Condors score with 11:11 on the clock, one lucky fan will win $11,111.11, sponsored by Bright House Networks, 101.5 KGFM and Aviator Casino. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., puck drops at 7 p.m.

Saturday Nov. 12:
The team will honor veterans and all military personnel with the 9/11-Navy SEAL Team 6 Jersey Off Our Backs Night, sponsored by ABC23, 107.9 KUZZ and American Business Machines.Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the puck drop at 7 p.m. All veterans, military personnel, and their families will receive free admission to the game by presenting their military ID. The team will auction off the jerseys following the game with the proceeds benefitting the Wounded Heroes Fund. Everyone in the building is eligible to win a jersey as five will be given away.

Sunday Nov. 13:
From 2:30 – 4 p.m., Baby Cal will recognize students from across the county at the Creative Expression Art and Essay Contest held at Sequoia Middle School. The school is located at 901 Belle Terrace in Bakersfield. Students will receive tickets to an upcoming Condors game as a prize for their excellent essays and pictures answering the question, “What my family means to me…”
