Condors announce Training Camp schedule

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, announced today the 2010-11 training camp schedule.

Training camp begins on Oct. 1 and will run through Oct. 14.  All practices held at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center are open to the public. Off-ice workouts are held at Body Xchange, the official fitness facility of the Bakersfield Condors.

Highlighting the Training camps are Condors annual Open House players at practiceand Family Day and the two preseason games. The Open House will take place on Oct. 2, and is open to all of Condorstown. Admission is free with a donation of two non-perishable food items. For more information, click here.

The first preseason game will be played away from home, as the Condors travel to Las Vegas to battle with the Wranglers on Oct. 7. The Wranglers return the favor by heading to Rabobank Arena for the final preseason game on Oct. 9.

Three Condors will be attending training camp with the Houston Aeros, the Condors American Hockey League Affiliate. LW Bobby Robins, D Jason Lepine, and D Jay Cascalenda will all get a chance to compete for a spot on the Aeros roster. Those three players may miss the start of training camp in Condorstown. Head Coach Marty Raymond will also be attending camp in Houston. He will be assisting in on-ice workouts and the evaluation of the players.
