Condors doubled up by Utah 4-2
Same two clubs meet at Rabobank Arena Friday and Saturday

Bakersfield, Calif. Brad Snetsinger picked up a natural hat trick to lead the Utah Grizzlies (6-2-1-1, 14pts) past the Bakersfield Condors (4-7-0-0, 8pts) by the final score of 4-2 in front of 3,587 fans at Rabobank Arena Wednesday night.

The Condors had their chances in the first, putting up a 14-11 shot advantage in the opening frame. But it was Utah taking the 1-0 lead,Jason Lepine capitalizing on a Bakersfield turnover. Snetsinger chipped in his fourth of the season and first of the night at 15:39 to give the visitors the lead through 20 minutes. G Josh Tordjman earned the start for the Condors, while Utah countered with G Andrew Engelage.

Utah busted the game open in the middle frame with three goals in the span of five minutes to make it 4-0. Snetsinger notched his second of the game at 7:59 on a shorthanded breakaway and then minutes later completed the hat trick. D Nick Tuzzolino extended the lead at 12:59 with his second of the season.

Bakersfield battled back in the third period and cut into the Grizzlies lead. D Jason Lepine notched his first of the season at 7:24 to put the Condors on the board. In the closing minutes, a two-man advantage yielded another tally for Bakersfield, as RW Vlady Nikiforov scored his second of the season. But it’s as close as the Condors would get, falling 4-2. The Condors out-shot Utah 38-36 on the night.
