Condors host Utah for three games this week
Promotions include the Coat collection, team posters, and the Veterans Jersey raffle

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, are back on the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena against the Utah Grizzlies for a three game set starting on Wednesday night and coming to a close on Saturday. The doors open at 6 p.m. with the drop of the puck at 7 p.m. for all three games.

The Condors are hosting their annual Project Warm Families Coat Collection on Wednesday, courtesy of 98.5 The Fox, Cold Stonecoats Creamery, and Goodwill Industries. Everyone who brings a coat to donate will receive $1 terrace level admission to the game. You can also donate early. Bring a coat to the Condors office, located next door to the Rabobank Arena Box Office, and receive a voucher granting $1 Terrace Level admission to Wednesday’s game. In the program’s history, the Condors have donated 22,115 Coats to needy families. It is also Military Appreciation Night, as all veterans and military personnel receive two-for-one admission by presenting their military ID.

The two teams are back in action on Friday, for the Condors Team Poster Giveaway. All fans in attendance will receive a Condors team poster, courtesy of ABC23 and Hot Hits 93.1. It is also a Mercy & Memorial Hospitals & Diamond Technologies T.H.I.N.K. Night. The Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge program allows students to earn terrace tickets to this game through exceptional performance. Before the game, the YMCA will be playing broomball on the ice. After the game, all season ticket holders are invited to the Season Ticket Holder Meet the Team Party. Following the game, the players will be in the Club Room near Section 116. Complimentary soda and popcorn will be provided, and the bar will remain open as well.

The weekend will conclude with the Kern Veterans Memorial Jersey Off Our Backs Raffle and Auction, sponsored by KUZZ 107.9 and Bud Light. All fans will receive an Enter to Win form as they come through the doors for a chance to win one of five game-worn special jerseys. Saturday is also Boy Scout night, and the Boy Scouts will be on the ice playing Broomball prior to the game. Boy Scout troops can get discount tickets to the game, and Kern Veterans Jerseyall scouts who attend the game will receive a special Condors patch.

During the first intermission, the ACEC will be on the ice for a check presentation, and Sharon Borradori will join the broadcast team in the booth to talk about the ACEC during the second intermission. Also during the first intermission, one of the Kern Veterans Memorial Jerseys will be auctioned off. During the second intermission, there will be a drawing for three of the five Jersey Raffle winners, with the remaining two winners drawn at the conclusion of the game. Also after the game, everyone interested in taking part in the jersey auction can move to Section 117. The auction will start at the conclusion of the contest, with the proceeds benefitting M.A.R.E.

Following every home game, players will be available at the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108. C Rylan Kaip, recently returned from the AHL, will be available on Wednesday, D Erik Burgdoerfer and F J.D. Corbin will be in the booth on Friday, and F Andrew Ianiero and D Jay Cascalenda will take their places on Saturday. Players will be available approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of each contest to greet fans and sign autographs.

Every game this week can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM, with the Goose Loonies call-in show following each game. All Condors games can be heard live at www.foxsports970am.com, or you can listen on your smartphone by downloading the iheartradio app. All the games can also be seen streaming live through America One. Saturday’s game will be broadcast on Bright House Networks Cable Channel 21. All televised contests will also be available on Bakersfield On Demand Cable Channel 300, starting the following day.

The Condors are having a November Nuttiness merchandise clearance sale! Through November 24, or while supplies last, jerseys, bobbleheads, t-shirts and other items are on sale at huge discounts.
