Teddy Bear Toss and Toy Drive highlight this week’s promotions
Utah in town for Wednesday and Saturday’s games

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, remain on the Mercy and Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena to cap off an eight-game homestand on Wednesday and Saturday. The doors open at 6 p.m. with the drop of the puck at 7 p.m.

The Condors face the Utah Grizzlies on Wednesday for Toy Drive Night, sponsored by My 45, 98.5 The Fox, and R&D Leather Furniture. Any fan who brings a new, unwrapped toy to donate will receive $1 terrace admission. The toys will benefit Stay Focused Ministries. Wednesday is also Half Price Beer Night until the end of the first intermission.

The Grizzlies are also in town for one of the most exciting events of teddy bear tossthe season on Saturday – Condors Teddy Bear Toss, courtesy of 29 Eyewitness News, KERN 1180 AM, and Wells Fargo. Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear, or other stuffed animal, to be thrown on the ice when the Condors score their first goal.

Last season, the Condors collected a record 8,075 bears to donate to United Way. The Condors have collected a total of 60,544 stuffed animals in the history of the event, and have welcomed 87,167 fans through the doors in the 11 year history of Teddy Bear Toss. Last season, the Condors had a near-capacity crowd of 8,825. For those who arrive empty-handed, Wells Fargo will be selling stuffed animals for $1 at the game. Head over to their stand behind section 111 to get a stuffed Wells Fargo Shetland Pony. Supplies are limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. All proceeds will go towards Condors charities. The teddy bears and stuffed animals will be collected and donated to less-fortunate children through the United Way of Kern County.

The first 3,000 fans five and older through the doors will also receive the second set of Condors Trading Cards. This is the second of five trading card nights throughout the season. It is also a Big Buddies Night, as underprivileged children will be given the opportunity to attend a Condors game thanks to local organizations who have donated tickets. Over 800 kids have been given tickets for this game through the Big Buddies program.

Condors jerseys will be featured as the merchandise item of the night on Saturday. All jerseys, except for All-Star jerseys, will be on sale for 20% off.

Following every home game, players will be available at the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108. C Rylan Kaip, and rookie F Mark Magnowski will be available on Wednesday, and RW Pascal Morency and F Jean-Marc Beaudoin will take their places on Saturday. Players will be available approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of each contest to greet fans and sign autographs

Both games this week can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 970 AM, with the Goose Loonies call-in show following each game. All Condors games can be heard live at www.foxsports970am.com, or you can listen on your smartphone by downloading the iheartradio app. All the games are also streamed live online through America One. Saturday’s game will be broadcast on Bright House Networks Cable Channel 21. All televised contests will also be available on Bakersfield On Demand Cable Channel 300, starting the following day.
