Perhaps you have read about Saturday’s game on Yahoo! Or maybe you saw it in USA Today… or CNN… or MSNBC… or in the NY Daily News or the LA Times or any of the multitude of media outlets that were talking about the Bakersfield Condors over the last several days. It’s Charlie Sheen Night! What Condors Owner Jonathan Fleisig says:
“Obviously we’ve gotten a ton of coverage and feedback on this ‘epic’ promotion,” said Condors Owner Jonathan Fleisig. “The majority of it has been very positive. There has been some negative feedback, but I think it’s important for people to maintain a sense of humor. It makes life so much easier and more enjoyable, especially since times are tough for everyone. A Condors game is a place that you can come and forget about your troubles and enjoy three hours of entertainment. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and think that’s a good thing for everyone to consider.”
It’s also St. Patrick’s Day Jersey Off Our Backs Night, sponsored by McDonald’s. The team will wear special St. Patty’s Day jerseys and auction them off for charity after the game. Five of the game-issued jerseys will be given away for free at the game. The auction proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Throughout Condors history, an astounding $737,000 has been donated to local non-profit organizations through Condors Jersey Off Our Backs auctions.
Saturday, the Stockton High School Cheer Team will be performing at center ice as well during one of the intermissions.
Following every home game, players will be available at the Bakersfield Marriott at the Convention Center Autograph Booth, located on the arena concourse behind section 108. The schedule for the week includes LW Guillaume Levebvre and F Michael Gergen on Tuesday, RW Bobby Robins and D Jay Cascalenda on Friday and RW Erick Lizon and RW J.D. Corbin on Saturday. Players will be available approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of each contest to greet fans and sign autographs.
