The Bakersfield Condors announced that the team has signed G Eemil Vinni to a one-year, two-way American Hockey League (AHL) contract for the 2026-27 season.

Vinni, 20, was selected in the second round of the 2024 NHL Draft by Edmonton as the top rated European goaltending prospect that year. Last season, the 6’3” netminder played for Jokipojat Joensuu (JoKP) in Finland’s Mestis, the second tier of Finnish professional hockey. In 17 appearances he went 8-5-4 with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .884 save percentage. He missed much of the 2024-25 season with injury.

In his draft year as an 18-year old, Vinni was 17-9-10 with a 2.72 GAA, .892 save percentage, and two shutouts with JoKP. He helped Finland to a Bronze Medal at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, going 3-1-0 with a .927 save percentage and 1.75 goals against average in four appearances.
