Condors in the Community: Coach Matt O’Dette to Serve Ice Cream at CALM’s Ice Cream Zoofari

Wednesday, Aug. 17

The Condors will be at Planz Park located on Planz Rd., just east of H St., this Wednesday from Noon to 3 p.m. Come out and enjoy the summer sun and stop by the Condors booth to spin the Prize Wheel for a chance to win cool Condors prizes. Also, the Inflatable Slapshot will be on hand for everyone to experience the game of hockey. LRSHColonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will be at the park to entertain the kids, as well.

The Condors will be at various Bakersfield City Parks every week during the months of July and August. Check the Condors Community release each Monday to find out when the Condors are coming to your neighborhood. Check out the Condors Flickr Page for pictures of previous Condors Park visits.

Thursday, Aug. 18

The Condors will be at the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Re-Opening of the Bakersfield Friendship House located at 2424 Cottonwood Rd., from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Colonel Claw’d will entertain the guests as they enjoy live music, food, and much more. The Condors will be out at Mill Creek Park from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for Third Thursday held by the Downtown Business Association. The Condors will have the inflatable slapshot booth and prize wheel set up to give everyone a chance to win cool Condors prizes! Colonel Claw’d will also be joining the festivities! The former Downtown Street Faires have moved to the park and will be held the third Thursday of the month through September. Saturday, Aug. 20

Condors head coach Matt O’Dette will be a celebrity scooper for the 4rth annual Ice Cream Zoofari at CALM from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., located on 10500 Alfred Harrell Hwy. Coach O’Dette will help make ice cream sundaes and root BEAR floats. There will also be live entertainment, train rides and wildlife presentations for guests. Sunday, Aug. 21

Colonel Claw’d and Baby Cal will be at the Bakersfield Blaze game on Sunday, at Sam Lynn Ball Park, 4009 Chester Ave., at 6:15 p.m. Colonel and Baby will join all the fans for the Blaze Kids Club Sunday and Celebration for Heaters Birthday! The Condors home opener is just 61days away, when the ECHL’s newest team, the Colorado Eagles, come to town Saturday, Oct. 15.
