Condors Opening Night roster finalized

Bakersfield, Calif. – The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, have announced their Opening Night roster. Opening Night will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16 at Rabobank Arena. The doors open at 6 p.m. with the drop of the puck at 7 p.m.


The Condors have three players that are with the team, but have not yet been added to the roster. Last season’s leading scorer, F Stephane Goulet, is back in town but is not yet activated. Two players acquired through trade, C Jean-Philipp Chabot and D Joey Ryan have joined the team, but also have not yet been added to the active roster.

Two players will start the season on the 21-day IR. F Bobby Robins injured his hand in the first period of the Condors preseason game on Oct. 7 in Las Vegas, and D Jean-Francois David sustained an upper body injury while attending training camp with the Houston Aeros.

The roster features three players who are under contract with the Aeros: F Rylan Kaip, D Jean-Francois David, and G Josh Tordjman. The Condors have 8 rookies (four forwards and four defensemen) on the roster and two veterans.
