TONIGHT
The Bakersfield Condors host the Ontario Reign for the first time this season. It is the third meeting of 10 on the season between the two sides, with Bakersfield owning a 2-0-0 record against the Reign.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
The Condors gained a point in a 4-3 overtime loss to Texas. LW Joey LaLeggia tied the game with just over two minutes remaining in regulation, but RW Bryan Flynn ended it for the Stars, 20 seconds into overtime. LaLeggia had a multi-point night with a goal and asssist. RW Patrick Russell also had two points with two helpers.
Ontario was swept in a home-and-home with San Diego last weekend. The Reign had 3-2 leads in both games, only to see the Gulls come-from-behind with a 4-3 overtime victory on Friday night and a 4-3 regulation win on Saturday evening. C Mike Amadio had two asssists in each of the two games.
HOME COOKIN’
Over their last 10 home games, the Condors have points in eight of the 10 with a 5-2-3 record.
QUITE THE CALENDAR YEAR
It has been an impressive calendar year for LW Joey LaLeggia since making the move to forward. In 70 games since December 26, 2016, the Burnaby, British Columbia native has 48 points (24g-24a) and is +4.
WORKING OVERTIME
Saturday was the second overtime loss at the hands of the Texas Stars, who have gone to a Pacific Division-high 11 overtime games. Bakersfield is 0-4 in overtime this season, but 2-0 when games get to a shootout.

Tonight is RW Iiro Pakarinen’s 400th professional game spanning Finland-Liiga (231), AHL (56), and NHL (112) contests… C Josh Currie has eight points (4g-4a) over his last six games… D Keegan Lowe is +10 in his last 11 games since Nov. 25… G Nick Ellis has won four of his last five starts dating back to Nov. 24… RW Patrick Russell had two assists on Saturday and is now tied for the team lead with three multi-point games this season… Bakersfield’s 2-0 shutout of the Reign on Oct. 20 is the team’s lone shutout of the season.
REIGN NOTES
Veteran NHL forward Matt Moulson has made a significant difference for the Reign since being loaned to the Reign by the Buffalo Sabres (NHL). He leads the AHL in scoring since Dec. 7 with 15 points (4g-11a) in eight games… C Mike Amadio has also heated up over that stretch and is second only to Moulson over that time with 13 points (1g-12a) in eight contests… Since Nov. 1, the Reign have alternated starts between Cal Petersen and Jack Campbell, a span of 21 games. Petersen is 7th in the AHL among goaltenders with a 2.28 goals-against average.
